School Closure / Late Starts

Parents, please remember that buses will run only on main roads when we have late starts and early dismissals due to weather. When weather conditions are adverse you should check radio or local TV stations for closure information.

Library News - Books Bucks

Students who read often for pleasure do better in school. We will continue the Book Bucks Reading Incentive Program this year. Book Bucks is designed to encourage first through sixth grade students to read for pleasure.

It is very simple. Students may read any book they choose including books assigned in class. After they have read the book they fill out and turn in a reading verification form. The student receives a certain number of "Book Bucks", which may be saved to purchase prizes. The prizes will be mostly paperback books and will be offered on set days throughout the year.

Book Bucks will be awarded in the following manner:
First Grade - 30 pages = 1 Book Buck
Second Grade - 40 pages = 1 Book Buck
Third Grade - 50 pages = 1 Book Buck
Fourth Grade - 60 pages = 1 Book Buck
Fifth Grade - 70 pages = 1 Book Buck
Sixth Grade - 90 pages = 1 Book Buck
