Desired Technologies

Video Conferencing
Utilize the video conferencing abilities of the Washington State K20 Network to provide enhanced learning for our students. Point-to-point video conference sessions from our buildings to other sites outside the district as well as to other buildings within the district. Multi-point video conferences state-wide and world- wide.
Installation of video conferencing equipment and ISDN lines and other components.

Data Networks
Upgrade 56kb digital link between the administration/high school campus and the middle school/elementary school campus to multi-mode overhead fiber optic cable. 10/100 network switching and 100mbps network interface cards. Network bridges to handle increase network growth and communications.

Wide Area Network
Build our current WAN system adding additional routers and point-to-point lines out to our remote school sites. We would hope to be able to run T-1's out to the sites and upgrade our main 56k to the WEdNet/K20 to T1 capacity. We will add a larger centralized router to make the necessary point-point connections out to the remote school sites.

Internet technologies
Web servers including AppleShare 5.0/IP, Microsoft Windows NT, and Novell IntranetWare.

FTP, HTTP, and other remote access capabilities via TCP/IP. HTML editors and compilers.

Firewalls and other routing equipment. Cisco 2500 series routers suitable for our planned network designs.

Internet/Intranet caching technology.

Computer Systems
Storage systems including RAID systems, CD-R recordable compact disc systems, ZIP and JAZZ drives.

Input devices such as optical scanners, graphics tablets and video input devices and cameras. Sound input/output capability. (i.e. microphones and speaker systems)

Output devices such as LCD panels, large screen projection monitors, and printing devices for high quality color output.
