6th Grade

Students will refine their skills in keyboarding, learn about the development of computer technology, related job opportunities, and understand the influence technology has and will have upon their lives.

7th Grade

Students will continue to develop their keyboarding skills.

Major emphasis will be placed upon their using technology as a tool for completing projects. Word processing is the focus of 7th grade computer classes. Students will use a word processor in editing, finding, replacing, spell checking, and finally creating a word processed essay.

8th Grade

Students will continue to develop their keyboarding skills.

Word processing techniques will be continued focusing upon paragraph, table, and table formats. Data bases are introduced with empasis upon creating a database, sorting records, and searching for records. Spreadsheets are also introduced by having students examining how a spreadsheet is set up, and how formulas are used.
